I've heard that new guidance from the CDC says that vaccinated folks do not need to wear masks outdoors unless they are in a crowded venue.

But recall that when the vaccination effort first started, the CDC said that vaccinated folks could still transmit the virus, so we had to keep wearing masks. At first I thought the two positions were contradictary. But both could be true if you consider that unvaccinated folks can also go without masks outdoors.
