Shadow Shot Sunday Wasp Nest

Don't worry -- this wasp nest is empty!

I'm combing the archives today because of how busy I was gardening, and it was very overcast all morning!

    I hadn't really noticed the beauty of a wasp nest until seeing your photo! So very intricate!

    What a unique and beautiful shadow shot. I'm glad to hear it was empty, though! I found one in a field the other day and when I got close to try to take a picture, at least 6 angry wasps chased me away. Never did get the picture.

    The gardening was a bit grueling, but now that it's done, I like it a lot.

    Clytie, go back to that nest on a cold day. Wasps aren't very active when the temperatures get below 40F.

    I have petted bumblebees on cold mornings.
