Shadow Shot Sunday Wrinkled Towel

This is another one from the archives. Here's our dog's towel, wrinkled and basking in the sun. Cross your eyes a bit and imagine that it's the desolate surface of some alien world.

One of my friend's kids used to crawl around sometimes, long after she could walk. She would do it for much of the day because she didn't want to forget what the world looked like to her pet dog. The blanket made me remember that. And of course a whole lot more came tumbling into my brain. All from the alien green blanket world.

It is definitely a different shot, but most interesting.

It does look a bit like a sandy landscape. Amazing the places we see shadows when we truly look!

Your wrinkled towel looks like some of the wrinkled sandy washes that I tramp up and down in search of interesting shadows!

SHADOW PLAY

Shadows like horses, shadow likes chicks,
Shadows like houses built with red bricks;

Shadows much taller than a high wall—
No matter their shape, I love them all!

Jeannette, I used to sit in chairs up-side-down so that I could imagine that the ceiling is the floor. I remember that the house looked so much that way, so I did it again, just now!
