The Importance of Deadlines

To all of you participating in NaNoWriMo and NaBloPoMo this month, this quote is for you:
The biggest thing separating people from their artistic ambitions is not a lack of talent. It's the lack of a deadline. Give someone an enormous task, a supportive community, and a friendly-yet-firm due date, and miracles will happen every time.

Deadlines definitely help. I have always been one that left assignments til the last minute. Or at least the night before. Perhaps that's why I remain a stream-of-consciousness writer instead of being more polished.

While reading a questionnaire about adrenal fatigue I came across an interesting question: "Do you tend to procrastinate?"

Apparently folks with weak adrenals tend to postpone things in order to get energy from the "adrenaline rush" of being nearly too late.
